Sold in 2013: Legend was sold to a wonderful family in Pennsylvania where he has become a great teacher and a wonderful partner to his young rider, Kobe.  (Plus he gets to babysit a few lucky youngsters for their first rides!)

The fine purebred Arabian sport horse, AAA Legend ofthe Seas, was bred by Angel Portice of Arc Angel Arabians.   Even as a young foal he possessed wonderful presence and natural carriage.  In 2003 when he was just 9 months old, Legend was acquired for the Faerie Court Farm breeding program based on his wonderful conformation, laid-back temperament, correct movement, the consistent quality of his sire's offspring, a fantastic dam, and a deep pedigree that explained these qualities

Legend was used as a breeding stallion for three seasons and produced six high quality offspring.  Legend was an excellent sire consistently passing on four-square balance, sparkling presence, correctness of gaits, athleticism, great substance and bone, strong loin, and  an eager to please temperament to his six offspring.  Although Legend's offspring  proved his quality as a sire, Legend's persistent subfertility led us to the decision to geld him in the late fall of 2009.

Legend's 2010 son, FCF King ofthe Fairys, and one of his daughters, FCF As You Wish, have been retained to carry on his influence in the Faerie Court Farm breeding program.  We also have two daughters by Legend's sire, AAA Blazin Celebrity and FCF Faerie Fire.  We are confident that Legend's genetic influence will remain a core of the Faerie Court Farm breeding program.

AAA Legend ofthe Seas has the athleticism, rideability, and presence for eventing, as a Pony Club mount, for the Arabian Sport Horse division, and/or in the open pony divisions. Correctly started as a five year old in 2007, he had several years of professional training for dressage and over fences.  Legend has such an exceptional work ethic and kind temperament that he was used as a lesson horse even while he was still a stallion.  Due to his steadiness and unflappable nature, he also served as a trail companion to young horses on their first hacks.  He was leased for several years to the Equestry Riding School where he was primarily ridden by the Middlebury College IHSA Equestrian Team, but he has also served as a "babysitter" for beginner children.

At 14.1H, Legend is pony sized, but is of horse phenotype and movement.  He has excellent natural balance and is an eager and scopey jumper.  He has schooled cross country as well as stadium jumping.  He is jumping 3' courses.  On the flat, he has an excellent dressage foundation including shoulder-in, leg-yielding, trot lengthenings, and counter canter.  Although his breeding career prevented us from actively showing him except for local schooling shows (where he always placed well), he has plenty of athletic talent to be developed further.

News 9/22/2013: Congratulations to owners, Sari Bolnick and Kobe Pielow, rider Haley Korejwo and the rest of "Team Legend" on their success at the Arabian Sport Horse Nationals where AAA Legend ofthe Seas earned National Top Ten awards in Arabian Green Working Hunter, Arabian Hunter Hack ATR, A/AA/HA 14.2H and under Working Hunter, and the exhibition class BN Combined Test (dressage and show-jumping)
