For two years, Dandy, the donkey, was the pasture buddy for our young stallion, AAA Legend ofthe Seas.  
He is incredibly sweet and friendly with both people and horses. He's also friendly with dogs --which is unusual for a donkey.

Dandy is a 1995 standard donkey gelding who stands around 10.2 hands tall.   

   

Dandy and Legend often played a game of chase.  Legend usually started the game by nibbling on Dandy's rump, but Dandy always finished as the "winner".

	Dandy enjoyed living with the mare herd for a year.		But, he still tried to get his chestnut friend involved in a good race game whenever he could.  The mares liked that game too! (The donkey in his momentary lead after the turn-around.)

Dandy now lives a few towns away from here with a nice mare companion that never pesters him like young stallions or weanlings sometimes do, though his new friend can be convinced to play with him.  We sure enjoyed him while he was here.
