(Amir Farah x Demelza Dshams)
1993 gray mare AHRA# 0491564
There was a long association between the Culliton's Sun Shadows Arabian
Ranch and Villa Dshams Arabian Ranch of Marion Roth. Amira Farah
is a product of the Culliton's stallion, Amir Farah, and Marion's
lovely mare, Demelza Dshams. Amira is a legacy of these two fine
breeding programs.
Demelza Dshams (Indian Miracle x Shahzadi Dshams by the Naharin son
Amira Al Sahra) 1984 gray mare
Demelza was known for her smooth gaits and trustworthy nature under
saddle. The rider here is her breeder and owner, the
late Marion Roth.
Amir Farah (Naharin x Bint Farrieh by Shirik) 1965 Gray Stallion
Amir Farah was a successful show horse in several under
saddle disciplines. Loraine Snyder started him under saddle
when he was two years old and knew him for the entirety of his 28
years. She is the rider in these three photographs. Amira Farah was
born in this wonderful stallion's last foal crop in 1993. Faerie Court
Farm is quite fortunate to have such a fine mare as one of the
foundations of our breeding program.
Amir Farah and his lifelong friend Loraine Snyder enjoying
a ride together.
Loraine's favorite riding horse of all time was the Sun Shadows
stallion, Shirik. Shirik was bred by Bazy Tankersley of
Al-Marah Arabians.
He was bought (and named) as a weanling by the Cullitons for
their Sun Shadows Arabian Ranch.
"Shirik" means "partner" in Arabic; it was a fitting name for this
great horse. The partnership between Shirik and his rider, Loraine
Snyder, is evident in these photographs of them together at a variety
of horse shows.

Hazam Bey was the "Sun" of the Culliton's Sun Shadows Arabian Ranch. He
was known for his beautiful floating trot. Loraine Snyder is the rider
in the show photo from 1954. Hazam Bey was the sire of
Jumana Shams (x Wakerta) the foundation mare of Villa Dshams Arabians.
He had a very successful show career and epitomizes the sort of
"old-fashioned" Arabian that we hope to produce at Faerie Court Farm.

2006 colt,
FCF Gossamer Prince, and the 2007 filly,
FCF Faerie Fire, out of Amira Farah continue the legacy of this line of fine performance
horses.
